Pongal is three days festival and on the third day we have kanu ,on that day ladies at home will keep some food for crow and pray for their family members.
1.They keep turmeric and ginger leaf after putting rangoli.
2.Then the prepared food on the previous day is preserved like sweet pongal,little curry,curd rice,turmeric and raw rice mixed,banana .
3.Small balls in odd numbers are kept like 3,5,7,9,11 and then offered and prayed for well being of family.
4.Then that day rasam and all variety rice like lemon rice,coconut rice,tamarind rice is prepared.
5.This is special on the kanu day.
