singhara atta ka halwa

Singhara atta is used in  vrat  (used during fasting) in north india. The fast which is done during the month of april.During that time only few specified atta,vegetables they eat and perform pooja.

I happened to buy that atta from shop and one of my neighbour taught me as how to make this halwa.
To some extent I got the taste of it.
This singhara atta is called as Kuttu ka atta or water chestnut
This atta is prepared from the fruit and it has got many health benefits also.

Ingredients:
1.Singhara atta-200 -250 grams
2.Raisins,cashew,badam- 1/2 cup
3.Sugar-50-100 grams
4.ghee
5.warm water to add
6.cardamom powder

1.add some ghee in kadai and add the atta and fry it till it becomes little brown colour  .
2.Then add the sugar according to taste and also the broken nuts and then do the process for 10-15 minutes in low flame.
3.Then add warm water and mix it without forming any lumps,and add powdered cardamom powder.
4.Spread some ghee in plate and then spread it evenly and then serve.

One can also have the sugar syrup like( add sugar in water and boil it and add the syrup  to the atta.)
